Your Hosts
The name Forks in the Trail, was carefully chosen to reflect a lifestyle change focussed on nutrition, fitness and our love of the outdoors. Our goal is to tempt you with a mix of gastronomy and adventure.
Tricia is a registered holistic nutritionist who believes in the importance of wholesome food with good quality natural ingredients. Depending on the season, Tricia will tempt you with a variety of culinary experiences. These include hunting for and cooking with wild leeks, short excursions to an organic market where you can purchase the ingredients for your class, and educational workshops designed to improve overall health and wellness.
Tricia is also a certified yoga instructor and conducts classes for guests and outside community members from her studio at the Forks in the Trail. She has a strong belief in the importance of exercise and stress management to enhance personal well-being.
Doug produces maple syrup, an interest he developed as a means of continuing to enjoy the outdoors after the end of the ski season. He loves to chat about art, wine and books. When you can't find Doug in the bush, he can be found in the wine cellar, or nestled in front of the fireplace with a good novel.
