As a nutritionist, I understand the importance of wholesome ingredients to overall health. At the same time, I recognize the value of taste and flavour in satisfying the palate. Breakfast is an opportunity to jump start your day as well as occasion to spend time with family and friends. After staying with me, it is my hope that you will take home some new ideas to use in your own kitchen that enable you to prepare simple, straightforward, healthy fare.

Banana Flax Pancakes with our own Maple Syrup
Instead of wheat, I often substitute spelt. Spelt has more protein than wheat and is often easier to digest. Nutrient wise it is a great choice and its nutty flavour enhances your eating experience.
French Toast
This is an ideal dish that takes full advantage of the health benefits of maple syrup. What makes it even better is that it comes fresh from our own trees.
Crispy Belgian Waffles with our own Maple Syrup
Whipped egg whites make for a fluffier waffle. In using egg whites, I lower the cholesterol count of this dish and enhance the protein benefits.
Morning Berry Strata
This is a healthier version of the well-known dish "Christmas Morning Wifesafer." By incorporating yogurt cheese prepared ahead of time into the ingredient mix, I am able to provide a lower fat alternative. This dish is one of my favourites because it lets me visit with you.
Creamy Rolled Oats
Cinnamon is a great way to add flavour to traditional oatmeal without the calories of sugar. By adding ground flax or wheat germ, you get an extra boost of fiber without sacrificing taste.
Farmers Omelette
Fresh herbs and vegetables enhance flavour and eye appeal of this tasty dish.
